Charlie horse in my shoulder/neck

Thursday, November 11, 2010

Ouch! I reach to pick something off the floor and my whole left shoulder/neck just spasmed. I wanted to cry it hurt so bad. Luckily I had ibuprofen and tiger balm with me which both helped immensely. But lets just say that I a not looking forward to tomorrow as I am usually sore the next day after a charlie horse. More tiger balm!

I have kink something in my neck too, and I don't even know where it came from! All of a sudden I was in pain!
I kept heat on it all evening and took some advil. It doesn't hurt as bad today but Im still aware of it. It really sucks when stuff like that happens. I did nothing yesterday because of it :(
I hope it feels better soon!

Ouch!! I hate when that happens. Love me some Tiger Balm. Traumeel is also amazing for muscle problems.

I've never heard of tiger balm. I was getting charlie horses on a regular basis a couple of months ago. I did some research and learned that they could be the result of not enough water, too little potassium or a recent increase in exercise intensity. I knew they didn't result from too little water or exercise. I also learned that eating something with potassium could help with the muscle spasms. I've been eating bananas every day since the day I had intense muscle spasms and haven't had a charlie horse since! I'm glad you're feeling better!!
