I can't believe that I did not blog about hitting my goal. I guess I must have just posted on Facebook. Anyway, not only did I hit 3000 miles for the year on October 27th, I added almost another 200 miles since then. I am on my way to my next goal of 6000 by my 60th birthday which will be next August.
I am currently "on vacation" visiting my daughter in So. California. I took off a day of exercise to travel from Reno to LA but immediately signed up at a studio to do spin classes while I'm here in LA. If I am not doing some sort of exercise every day, I find myself falling back into old habits, like eating too much.
I've noticed that I have to keep my attention on my life goal, which is to stay healthy and fit. I can't let distractions like unhealthy food, alcohol and other vices get in my way. I will indulge in these vices occasionally but just have to remember to take each day at a time and keep my eye on the ultimate goal.
