OUCH!

Monday, November 08, 2010

Okay...so I logged in my food so far today.

emoticon Ut oh! Deli Creations are a NO NO! Over HALF my fat for the day in one of those! I thought they were fine...350 calories, 4.5 ounces of food and 1/2 cup lo fat cottage cheese. Now I can see ONE of the errors of my ways! Ouch!

emoticon So...will take the rest of them home and give them to hubby. He can take them to work the rest of the week and I will find something different to bring!

I also need to look at doing something different for breakfast. I love McD's latte (I always order non-fat, sugar free vanilla) and a burrito for breakfast. Again the fat content in the burrito is outrageous! But I am a grab and go gal...any suggestions???

Dunkin donuts flatbread sandwiches aren't horrible. Egg White Turkey Sausage Flatbread = 290 calories, 8 g fat. Not surprisingly, the veggie version is much higher in calories and fat. Their ham, eggwhite, and cheese a whole-wheat muffin is about the same as the flatbread.

I see you are coming around to my way of eatting. There is no easy grab and go. Subway...yes. But other than that it is the most difficult thing I am having to deal with. I love grab and go but I'm finding out I need to slow my life down and eat correctly and drop the grab and go.

Other than the parfaits or apple dippers (without caramel) McDonalds really has no healthy choices for breakfast. The egg muffin might be a little lower in fat, I haven't checked, but I know it's also 300 calories. I would suggest maybe Subway?
