HM TRAINING-WEEK 12

I ran my week 12 long run today instead of Monday with the Saturday group. I have to go for testing on Monday which will include lots of blood drawing so I'm not sure if I'll be up to it then. Today was a wonderful run. I woke up at 6:00 a.m., pricked my finger emoticon, (sarcasm), had a small bowl of oatmeal and a cup of coffee. Karen came about 7:00 (one of the girls from my running group) and we went ahead and drove to the Y. The saturday group is one week behind us so they ran a 9 mile and Karen and I added some streets to make it a 10 mile run. It was a great run, very steady pace. At one point I felt slightly lightheaded but I have learned to always bring some gummy candies with me. Helps alot. We ran 2 loops of 5 miles each around the usual Baxter Village. I felt great and realized one thing today: I AM NOW RUNNING IN THE DOUBLE DIGITS emoticon. If I am feeling up to it on Monday I will join the group but only do today's short run with them which would be a 5 miler. Excited, I AM A RUNNER emoticon
