Squeezing in a Workout On the Road

Thursday, November 04, 2010

Checked in and headed down to use the pc in the lobby. Ugh, somone's on it.

Guess "someone" is trying to nudge me about my day on the road without any, I start walking / jogging round the perimeter of the hotel for a few rounds until they get off the pc. But I can see this person is a lot like me...still at it after a few loops. It's a chilly 40 degrees (welcome back to the!) so I figure to really rev myself up I might as well grab my Nordic poles & walkman. Although I felt a bit lame with my lumps & bumps at first, as I limber up I feel better and can move with greater ease. Worked up a nice sweat by the time the pc was free 90 mins.!

Good to not let a day slip by without my cardio! :-)

Hope everyone is doing well!

Don, I want you to know that you were an inspiration to me while I was on vacation for the last several days. While I didn't get in workouts for all the days I was gone, I did get in a workout (even though it was late, even though it would take me from friends) just because I have watched you make your goals a priority even while away.

Just goes to show "When a door closes, a window opens!" Taking advantage of those "windows" of opportunity are what seem to make all of this work! I have really learned a great deal about filling those "voids" with productive and active house is getting MUCH more organized and now that the cooler weather has FINALLY decided to make itself known again here, in Florida, my garden is looking pretty chipper as well!

What a great reminder about answering opportunities' knock instead of using it as an excuse! Thanks for sharing and being a great example!

Now aren't you glad that the other fellow was "hogging" the PC? You did a great job of working out while you were waiting! emoticon I agree with Jespah...learning to use waiting time well lends contentment to our lives.

Have a great day!
