Update on-- unintended results

Thursday, November 04, 2010

Well I talked with the clinic this afternoon and apparently the lab results show my sodium and potassium levels in normal range. Only my Vitamin D was a little low. What did I say about jumping to conclusions! I did it again. I also had an EKG and other then my atrial Fibrillation, it wasn't bad. But I was advised to have another one at the Dr. office for comparison. So the bad news is, I still don't know why I am having these bad symptoms, but the good news is, we have ruled out two possibilities.

This is another reason why it is so important to work with a doctor and not try to diagnose yourself. So many things can have the same symptoms. And if you try to treat yourself, you might just make things worse. Maybe--I was right the first time, it could just be my worst arthritis flare-up yet, but I am not jumping to any more conclusions. Hopefully we will find the reason soon so I can start working on fixing the problem.

I have an appointment with my NP on Monday. And I will ask for a referral to my orthopedic doctor. Between them, they should help me solve this mystery.
