Just a very short blog to say that McKenzie was feeling better this morning and went to school. She had a great day but was extremely tired when she came home. She did her homework, took a short nap, then we played math games and spelling and took turns reading books to each other. She said that her stomach was a little squishy.
She was so excited when she got off the bus.
Of course she had her jacket shoved into her back pack. She hates to wear it...
She wanted pictures to send to daddy of the outfit she wore to school today.
So we took these pictures and emailed them to him. He is working away seven days a week and hasn't been home since his stepfather's funeral and may not get to come home until after the first of the new year. They may go down and spend a few weekends with him between now and when the job is completed. McKenzie does talk to him every night just before bedtime for a while...sometimes reading a book to him. She even talked to him when she was running a high fever for a few minutes.
By the time her mom came home from work, her temperature was going up again...but only 99.5 not nearly as high as the last few days when it was up to 103 plus. Praise God for his answered prayers.
Have a wonderful week keeping it as healthy as possible. Remember to look around and see all the positive things happening in your life and be thankful for them...
Blessings, love and hugs,
Helen
