Several months ago I decided that I really wanted to lose weight and get in better shape by putting myself first. Through Sparkspeople.com using the food tracker; joining a local TOPS chapter for moral support; then increasing exercising by joining Curves and finally by creating a healther eating lifestyle, I've now lost about 14 pounds in 3 months (39 pounds more to go to reach my goal of 135 pounds).
I'm at the point where my weight loss has become noticeable to friends, family and co-workers. I can't even count how many times people have approached me and asked what my "secret" is to losing weight. Then they often seem disappointed or sometimes even angry when I tell them that I did it through living a healther lifestyle, exercise and putting myself first.
I'm not sure how to handle the almost negative feedback I've been getting from people who expect me to have some kind of miracle answer to weight loss. But I am not letting it deter me on my journey to success. I was just wondering how you would handle that type of reaction reaction?
