Blessed by wonderful in laws

This weekend we made another trek to the St. Louis area to be with family. All the family we were with, except our DD are my in-laws and I love them dearly. I feel more a member of their family than I do my family of origin. My SIL and BIL always host us at their house and my SIL plans wonderful family meals. We got to spend time with our new grand nephew who is almost 6 mos. old and celebrate my MIL's 91st birthday on Sunday. We also got to see our nephew (who is in his early 30's) dress up for a Halloween party as his father. It was a wonderful and loving imitation of his Dad.
The highlight of the weekend was the last thing we did before we left mid Monday morning. We joined our DD in the chambers of the appeals court judge that she is clerking for. There the judge administered the oath of office for her to become a lawyer and officer of the court. It was both personal and moving. We were delighted that we could be a part of that part of her professional life.
