Right on, right on. The long view is important but that short term "i've got a fresh start and 4 weeks to make myself proud" mentality is very powerful. Makes it a fun challenge and less daunting. You're right about that poundage being gone with some water. But I feel your frustration with the number. According to my scale this morning I lost 4.5 pounds in 24 hours. Def water. 4 week challenge hear I come! Thanks for the motivation!

Don't worry about the 7 pounds it will come off , drink lots of water, go walk a mile , you will see. But I have been there it is depressing and discouraging but don't you give up, never give up. It is a lifestyle change, so of course it is not going to be easy. I think that is wonderful that you homeschool your daughter but make sure you make some time for just you, go get your hair done or you nails done, pamper yourself a little bit , that always makes me feel better.

I needed to hear this! I have been slumping as far as workouts go. Tomorrow we are off due to election day.. so I know that more than likely I will take the day to relax. SO, there is so excuse for not working out after work today. I plan on doing C25k week 2 again.. I did it one day last week.. When I am running on a plan I feel amazing.. and don't slack, but I do slack off a bit.. it screws with my head and body! I felt like when I was running everyday I kept myself together. I have the scaredypants butterflies like the first time all over again, and am tempted to do week ones run. lol I am such a lazy butterball today. Work has been stressing me out.. and with that new recliner, all I wanna do is go lounge! bah! Kick my butt girl, I need it!

Yes!! YOU GO GIRL!!! We can do this. We knew it wasn't going to be FAST AND EASY, right? Oh ouch, 7 lbs. I feel ya. Mine flucuated 3 lbs in one day down...and now right back UP 3 lbs the next day. Grr. Oh well.

I kept surfing past a great movie this weekend and it always seemed to be on the part with the most profound message (for me anyway); Shawshank Redemption; "Get busy LIVING or get busy DYING". My step father always said, "It's better to WEAR out then RUST out" So I guess that is all the same! ;) Lets not let another day slip by without LIVING IT, oK?
