Now I'm not advocating sitting on the couch all week...

... but I lost 2 pounds this week, after not losing anything all month! Woohoo! I've been sitting on the couch cause I'm sick and sniffly and achey and exhausted -- not good training for my race coming up! Bear in mind, I kicked my butt running, eating well, and all that jazz for the month before this.

Ah weight loss. How vexing you can be!

My body is funny. My weight in the last two months has gone something like:

I get a drop, then a plateau sometimes an oscillating plateau), then a drop. I would guess that it's in part because I'm getting close to my goal weight (150!!), in part because I'm running a lot and pushing my speed/distance (which can make my muscles retain water), in part because I'm switching medications and my hormones (and emotions) are screwy... But if I fit a curve to my weight, it's still a linear function (with a very shallow slope!) -- but 1/2 a pound a week if perfectly fine when I'm less than 10 pounds away from goal.
