My Blessings...

Friday, October 29, 2010

It is with gratitude that I thank the Heavenly Father for all the blessings of 2010.

My GGD was born on April 17th and she is such a joy! Because I watch her during the week, we have become very close and how I treasure that time we have together.

I was diagnosed with many neuropathic conditions, ending with spinal stenosis. But I have learned to live with it and take my many meds to overcome the pain.

My family all have steady jobs, and that in itself these day is a special blessing. My folks are also good, hard working people.

And then, recently, my DB had triple bypass surgery and within 5 days was home!!! Seems a miracle, although many have had this done, the timeline seems unbelievable. My prayer is that he will continue with the help of his dear family to get better and better.

I know the blessing of Spaarkpeople has meant so much to me and I continue to get back to my goal. I got really sloppy and gained some weight back, but I am determined to lose it, hopefully by the end of this year. I live alone and don't have anyone to monitor me, but the Lord knows my weakness and will give me a helping hand.

Count your blessings and be glad we have a Savior to keep us humble. These are just a few of the blessings I give thanks for. There are so many not yet put on paper. Love from, to and for others is one of the richest we have.

    Hi JEANSHEP2;

I too am alone a thank God that he is always with me. I ate some fudge and cookies and almost made myself sick last night because I don't eat a lot of sugar. If I do it is 1 cookie a day so now it will be non for awhile. I am 67 and my husband died in 06 and it is hard. I look at maintaining a healthy life style as the life line to a longer life. If I don't take care of myself there is no one else too. I stay as active as I can and push more then I should but that is the way I am. Stay focused on a healthy life style because you CAN do it. You have lost the weight and you can do it again so be strong.
God bless you always. Pass the Spark people on to others.

Joyce

Praise God, we can always find things ti be thankful for! It sounds like you have had many blessings this year. My friend just went on a missions trip to India with Joyce Myers Ministries, and told me today, that even the poor people in America have something to be thankful for and are a lot better off than what she saw!
May God continue to bless you and your family.

I too have many, many blessings for which I am thankful to our Heavenly Father. He is so good to me.

I have a supportive, kind husband to whom I have been married 39 years today. A beautiful daughter. A good son-in-law. Two beautiful granddaughters.

My eleven year old granddaughter and I have a close relationship. She suffers from type 1 diabetes and is wise beyond her years. She loves the Lord and I pray she will always.

I have peace that only comes from God. It is my desire to honor the Lord in everything I say or do but too many times I fail miserably. Then He gives me grace and mercy and forgiveness and helps me up to begin again.

Like you, my dear friend Jean, my blessings are many more than are listed here. I count you and my other Sparkfriends special blessings that help me more than words can describe.

You are so accurate about one of our richest blessings being Love. Love makes life worth living. I am so thankful to have you as my friend.

In our busy world, it is so easy to overlook the many blessings we all enjoy. Praise God for his wonderful gifts.
