Midnight Workout...?!?

Thursday, October 28, 2010

Today was a soggy day to visit Atlanta. As I'd been to the Aquarium earlier this year and I wasn't about to PAY good money to tour the Coca Cola building, I had hoped to get some serious Nordic Walking in around the Olympic Square in of the former summer Olympics. However it poured and poured! Finally it let up enough for me to get out for a while, but started raining again.

By the time we picked up our family friend at the airport and returned to the hotel it was heading for midnight and after I got things settled in for the night it was after midnight.

But I just COULDN'T let a day pass in which I didn't at least make SOME use of the exercise equipment...! :-)

So I head down to do a shorter workout, 30 mins. each on the eilliptical and the recumbent stationary bike.

I was alone when I started but pleasantly surprised to have a couple other fellows join the fun during my workouts. Guess I'm not the ONLY one to run out of time for a workout at a decent time of!

Onward for more wedding preparations and visiting with folks as they arrive!

Sending out wishes for a SPARKIN' week to EVERYONE!

Don, this really reminds me of myself in the past. I'd get to the end of the day, not having worked out and would refuse to let myself go to bed until I'd done something. Of course, you know how it goes, once you start, you get into it. Still, those REALLY late workouts felt kind of silly, but I was always glad I didn't let myself lose sight of my goal. Good for you for getting it done! I hope it dries up for you.

Wow! Glad you enjoyed your late night workout. I would do that-IF I knew I could sleep in the next day. Otherwise I like to have it in by 9pm.

Not quite sure how you sleep after that, but you know your body better than anyone.
