Smoking- A poem of haikus

Wednesday, October 27, 2010

Goodbye cigarettes,
It's been a year since I quit
Don't miss you at all

My lungs feel so great
Stained fingers are no longer
I can smell again

Now I can workout
And not even lose my breath
from bad coughing fits

Those dollars are mine
And not Phillip Morris'
The dealers of death

Thank you Allen Carr
you helped me ever so much
by writing that book

It is my mission
To help those I love quit too
And I know they will

Congratulations...! I quit about a year ago too...and I really don't miss it too much (except when I'm at a party with other people that smoke)!

It does feel nice to see yourself as 'not that girl that smokes' anymore! It is quite an accomplishment.

Nice poetry as well. emoticon
