totally forgot my awesome subject

Most of my SparkFriends have really interesting blogs. I'm amazed at the ability of others to recount the events of a day or even several days in a way that's engaging and informative. I just tend to blurt out whatever is running through my gray matter at the time.

Had a good walk today. I was able to wear my 2x Nike hoodie that I got for a gift in 2008, but couldn't fit in until now. That was a nice feeling. Unfortunately, it doesn't breathe so good, and I felt clammy by the time my walk was done. I am so very ready to get some sports wear in the near future.

I should post pictures in these blogs. I'll start doing that with my next one.

I love reading your blogs. It's how we get to know each other, these posts, no matter how creative or long or short or TMI!

Love the new picture, too.

Ahhh, we are all friends! There is no such thing as TMI between friends! :)

Thanks Sarah. I learned about nipple chaffing the hard way. When I was in my early 20s I went out dancing wearing a white cotton shirt and a few hours later had to red stains on my chest and a very unpleasant cutting sensation at too points on my front. My friends thought it was a riot, and I did too, in hindsight, but it still haunts me. Now I used band-aids or duct tape if i know i'm going to be dancing in improper wear. Fortunately, a lot of my dance shirts are soft blends that breathe well and don't cause injury. Somewhere along this may have crossed into TMI-Land. LOL!

Just keep writing your blogs! There are no rules about format or how witty someone must be. Everyone chooses how to express themselves! And it sounds like people enjoy reading your posts.

I have to say that I just learned about nipple chafing about six months ago. A friend of mine is a runner and he was telling me that the shirts will eventually do that to his nipples. He puts band aids on them. Just an fyi! :) Glad that I do not have to deal with that! Have a great Tuesday!

    Thanks Ya'll
I'll keep posting as my noggin dictates, and hope they remain coherent.

It seems it doesn't take much for me to swelter. It's an efficient way to cool down, but in my cotton shirts the fear of nipple chaffing haunts me. I may have to start taping like i do on dancing nights. The other problem was that the hoodie was soaked after my walk. Getting clothes wick off the sweat will be a joy.

It's great having such wonderful and supportive Spark Friends!!!

    I like pictures!

It's so funny, the old SparkPeople blog format used to only allow you to upload ONE picture, and it would only allow it to appear at the beginning of the post. So that one picture (ofyou, of something) set the tone. I really do love pictures, and I would often just find something that represented what I was thinking at the time, or spoke to me, and went from there.

I like your blogs, Lex. I've written 250 here. For some of them, I've felt especially inspired. But that was mostly when there was something inspiring happening, that I wanted to share, in it's unrestrained and enthusiastic form from my brain to the Spark community, knowing that THEY would understand (even if my husband/family/friends didn't or thought I was silly). There was freedom there.

You're an engaging guy, and therefore your words and thoughts are engaging, even if you don't think so.

Yeah, I can see how a hoodie might make you a little uncomfortable. BUT CONGRATS!! I'm glad you're able to wear it. I tend to use old cotton T-shirts that are too big for me now. I got one pair of moisture wicking pants close to when I started seriously working out, and alternated between that and some other, less performing fabrics. But high-priced sportswear doesn't seem to be all that they purport. I'm sure you can find something that you like, and that makes you want to exercise more. In fact, a lot of people like to use that as a milestone reward for themselves.

I like reading your blog posts, for what it's worth :)

I have some sports wear tucked away in the bottom drawer of my dresser, but most of it is still too small for me right now (it's from last time I lost weight)... in the meantime, I'm trying to make do with what I have, and some things just don't breathe well :P
