The optometric practice that I work with is the most amazing on the planet. We have several outings a year that are just a ball. Last night was our latest -- taking in "Nautical Nightmares" at Mystic Seaport in Mystic, CT. The link for information on this event is here -- www.mysticseaport.org/in
Prior to going to the Seaport, we all had dinner at Pizza Grille -- fabulous pizza, I can tell you. And having been there before, I always stuff myself until I'm so full I could burst. But last night, I had one square piece of barbecue chicken pizza which was about 3" x 3" and one pie shaped wedge of Hawaiian pizza -- and that's it!! I also had 3 bites of Chocolate Lava cake and a coke. Calorie wise, down alot more than it has been in past years. Very proud of my self control. Walking 2 miles on the treadmill, weight training and a few minutes of yoga (all this morning) rounded out my long weekend. I'm hoping that I can keep an eye on the big picture during the next couple of months.
November and December can be such a strain on anybody's regimen. I think we should pat ourselves on the back when we've done well and boost our spirits when we've fallen a bit off the wagon. Good luck everybody!!
