Lousy fitness=lots of potential!

When I am at the gym I am constantly amazed at the range of fitness that is demonstrated there. From the 80 year old couple walking at 2 miles/hour, to me, to Lance Armstorng over there on the bike. I can't help but notice terribly out of shape I have become and how far I have to go on my journey to become a fit person. But instead of letting that discourage me, I just see the potential of who I can become, and know that I am working in the right direction. The improvements come slowly, but I can see how my heart rate is demanding more intensity to get up to my target level. I can walk a little faster and on a steeper incline and go a little further than I could before. Those tiny improvements motivate me keep working toward my goals.
