Lesson learned, the hard way...

(Just re-read my own blog from a long time ago. REALLY MOTIVATED MYSELF!)
So, here a sit @ nearly 200lbs!!! Although I had struggled w/ my weight for nearly all of my life, 5 years ago I was on a mission of change. My first goal was to lose weight. During that time I went from my all-time high of 236lbs down to 146lbs in about a years time. I consistently maintained a weight of 155-165 for 4 years. Then things changed: illnesses, getting off work @ 6 as opposed to 3:30 & getting married, to a cook no less. I was busy & just stopped paying attention to me.
A year ago I got on the scale & weighed almost 180lbs. Instead of that being motivation to "get back on track," I became very disappointed in myself & ultimately let myself go - all the way up to 216lbs!
In August of this year my sister mentioned SparkPeople to me & I am so very grateful that she did. I joined SP on 8/28/10 and to date I have lost 17lbs & am really enjoying the journey. I would like to take a moment to thank my AMAZING sister, both my my "12 weeks til Christmas Challenge" buddies & my SP friends for helping me along the way. You are appreciated!
