Roll on the weekend....

Friday, October 22, 2010

Plans to go to the gym were thwarted last night by the need to move furniture around and sort out my house (in the final stages of renovation). Does this count as fitness minutes? Spent four hours carrying, lifting, dusting, sweeping and vacuuming. Certainly felt like i had expended plenty of energy.

No worries though, got to the gym this morning. Despite the freezing temperatures. Planning to go again tomorrow, with BF, when we can have a sauna and do the full relaxation thing that in the week there just isn't time for. I love weekends!

There's no denying though, weekends are harder food-wise. All my resolve during the week suspiciously vanishes the minute Friday night rolls around. Why is it time sensitive? Why can't I control the poor eating habits that during the week come so easily?

Any suggestions?

The social side of food is the best thing about it. My favourite form of socialising is dinner parties, and eating out, but even when not eating out, weekends make me feel as though it's ok to cheat. It's something I need to work on... but glad I am not alone, thanks :)

I on the other hand am going through a phase where I'm busy and just grab something to eat...usually not the right choice or grab fast food because I'm too tired to cook. But weekends are also bad for me. I like to go out and eat and take my time to eat and talk and eat. So recently the weekdays and the weekends have been bad for me. Plus I've been traveling weekends to visit old friends or my class reunion and eating is just the social thing to do....always good food too!
