Friday, October 22, 2010

IT HAS BEEN 7 MONTHS SINCE I QUIT SMOKINGAND I KNOW I SHOULD BE PROUD OF BREAKING THAT HABIT AFTER SO MANY YEARS.I AM SORRY TO SAY THAT WHEN I GAVE UP THE CIGARETTES I TURNED BACK TO FOOD FOR COMFORT AND HAVE GAINED BACK ALMOST ALL OS WHAT I WORKED SO HARD TO LOSE.I WAS 34 LBS AWAY FROM GOAL WEIGHT AND NOW AM HAVING TO START OVER AGAIN AND AM HAVING A REALLY HARD TIME.I NEED TO FEELGOOD AOUT MYSELF AGAIN.I AM AN OFFICER IN MY TOPS CHAPTER AND FEEL I AM LETTING THE OTHER MEMBERS DOWN BY NOT PRACTICING WHAT I PREACH.

Sorry to hear of the setback but I think it is all part of the process and coming to terms with oneself. I am really challenged when dealing with aspects of my personality and I am learning to be patient and forgiving with myself. Hang in there you, you worked on yourself before and inspite of the gain in weight I am sure that you will soon summon the courage to press on once again. emoticon all the best for the weekend. emoticon

emoticon It's great that you quit smoking! That's a BIG accomplishment. Don't just shrug it off. It's AWESOME that you did that. Now you can concentrate on the weight loss. As the previous post said, take it one meal at a time. emoticon emoticon Carol

I know where your coming from on the feeling of "practice what you preach". I am the leader in my chapter. I maintain very well, just wish I could lose and keep it off.

Great job on the quitting smoking. The rest will come. Hang in there. Take it one day at a time. Actually, take it one meal at a time. You can do it!
hugs,
Candy
