I've been on the gluten free diet for about two weeks now, and I feel way better. My mood swings and depression are virtually gone, and bowel symptoms had lightened considerably.
But on Monday, I went to my friends house for dinner. She's gluten intolerant as well, so I knew I wouldn't have to worry about it. Afterwards I felt bloated and tired, so I couldn't figure it out. The next day, I had a baked potato for lunch, and again, felt bloated and tired.
I did some research online, and found out that other intolerances can cause the same symptoms. I have been keeping a food journal, so I looked into it, and the only thing I had eaten at the bloated meals that I hadn't eaten at the meals I felt good after was sour cream, and butter. Lactose is in both, so that may have been the culprit. I eliminated it, and I haven't been gasy since.
Wow I miss chocolate. So I bought chocolate soy milk. Yummy. I feel so much better I could jump for joy!
