I hate being FAT

Ok so were do I start. Oh I know I hate being fat and not active. All I want to do is sleep, watch tv and facebook. Not much of a life right. Now don't get me wrong I'm truly blessed.. But my social life consist of eating out once a month with my ladies group, Church on Wed. and Sunday. Other than that that's all I want to do.. Why is it that everything is surrounded by food.. So I stay at home and then there's still food. I don't want to run a marathon I just want to rest at night or go a day with out reflux. I even get it if I don't eat. My appetite is terrible. I don't like breakfast and has never liked breakfast even when I was a 9/10. I just want my coffee.. And then lunch about 2 0r 3 pm. and dinner around 7pm when my husband come in from work. I'm not a big junk food person and I don't eat a lot of sweets and breads.. Oh and by the way I take Lexapro. My mother was murdered in 1999 and I've been on it every since. It affects my weight, my appetite,and my hair has started to shorten and by the way I hate that.. Lately I've been just totally depressed about my weight. I've never had a big belly now it's just buldged from the time I wake up in the morning.. Please help me I can't live like this I hate my body.. I can't do much exercise because Of my left knee.. So I need exercise with low impact to my knees.. I try to get motivated but it only last a few hours then it's back into my shell... I don't have a job right now because of my injury so I can't afford a lot of extras to my diet.. Foods can be kind of expensive when trying to eat right.. emoticon

    I'm with you, I HATE BEING FAT! Here's some ideas, first don't get all of the healthy foods all at once. Start with some fruits and vegetables that you and your DH enjoy.
This part you already know; cook differently. Boil, broil, steam, bake, grill and fried as very resort. When possible enjoy your veggies raw.
emoticon on the breakfast. Take a peek at the meal plans you will see some suggestion for breakfast you just might like.

Now here's the section we both hate. Drink the 8-8oz. glasses of water daily and portion control.

Any movement beats no movement when it comes to exercise. I understand you have bum knee, so go low to no impact on the legs, then go full tilt on the upper body for your workouts.

Dont be afraid to ask me for help. Who knows you might need a guy point of view.

    Good Morning Ladies...Feeling good about myself right now.. Had my first 30 min walk.. Started out being a 10min ended up 30min.WooHoo!!!. Had 16 0z. of water already this morning and a bowl of Oatmeal for breakfast.. Gotta start slow with that breakfast thing;

But drinking plenty of water.. Ugh!! I Hate Water...

    Take it one step at a time, one day at a time. You can still eat what you like, just make smaller servings switch from a regular dinner to a smaller one like a dessert plate, don't eat in front of the t.v., eat at the table, fix your meals, half the fun can be in the preperation. Talk to us we are here for you. any questions just ask, we all have depressed days I don't think you can be over weight and not have them at one time or another. Find the good in your life and enjoy it. De

    aww , I'm sorry about ur mom dear :( , first of all u should know that ur not alone here , we all here to encourage and support each other , and when it's comes to diet don't think about it as a diet but as new lifestyle , u still can eat whatever u like but in healthier way emoticon the important thing is to make the right choices (n_n) , and u should eat breakfast it's the most important meal of the day , and trust me drink lots of water will help u and make u feel full most of the time , welcome sis and good luck with ur losing weight journey emoticon emoticon emoticon

  I agree with Lisa. Start by upping your water intake, and do one good thing for yourself each day. Meditate to lower your stress, or eat a piece of fruit. When you go shopping, replace one of your regular snacks with some fruit or veggies. Try to get your fruit juice to be 100% fruit. Every little step of improvement counts. The good part is, you're going to do something about it!

    I am sorry about your Mom.Alot of us on here did not eat breakfast but it is very important even if you make a smoothie or something.If you can walk then walk there are also water aerobic classes and on here you can find chair exercises.There is something for everyone.Good luck on your journey and remember we are all here for you.Lisa
