NFL is in the PINK for Breast Cancer Awareness

Sunday, October 17, 2010

During October, the NFL is showing it's PINK, to raise awareness about breast cancer and how important early detection is. As a survivor myself, I am proud to see this disease recognized by the sport of football, and it's reminder to all of us that breast cancer can be beat. I'm sure there are many football wives who have faced bc, My favorite football player, Brett Favre, is the husband of a breast cancer survivor, Deanna. Her book is a great read for anyone who has the disease or supports someone with it. I'll be checking the pink out for the rest of the month on the football fields, it reminds me of how I fought this disease and won. emoticon
