They say things come in three's...

Saturday, October 16, 2010

Third time's the charm or three strikes and you're out.

Well, I just had my 3rd surgery in 4 weeks, so I'm hoping I'm done with surgeries for a while. Wednesday morning I woke up with that crushing chest pain yet again. After 5 hours of pain and vomiting I couldn't take it anymore and had to go to the emergency room. They admitted me and finally the test results confirmed that I had to have surgery to have my gall bladder removed. I was in the hospital until Friday night. I've been on blood thinners because of the clots, so they had to thicken my blood back up to do the surgery. That was just one of the many complications I had. I am so grateful for modern medicine, the great care everyone has given me and knowing that I have a Heavenly Father and Savior that watches over me. Needless to say, I'm still recovering and exhausted. I hope this is the end of health problems and the beginning of getting my spark back.

I just want to say thanks for being a part of my life. Hope you all are having a fantastic weekend! emoticon

Dear One, I am so sorry you had to go through that. I had my gall bladder out 10 years ago and then just a month ago I had horrid pain in my left side and couldn't keep anything down. Come to find out I had two bile duct stones. I had no idea one could have stones in their bile duct when the gall bladder was out. Well I think the good Lord finally convinced me that fried foods, ice cream and junk food are not for me. I really thought my only problem was sugar but come to find out it's the bad fats too. Waa waa. That's OK. Maybe now when I remember the pain and "hell" I went through this time around I will gladly refuse the junk food. Ya think? emoticon

Lord, have mercy. Just got a message from you about your gall bladder surgery and was immediately worried. How are you now?? This, too, will pass. Let your family love and care for you now... Robin's orders!

Chickadee! That's it, you must have had your three for the year (it's been enough for two years!) there must be a break, a clearing in the medical-weather coming your way!

I know that gall bladder pain you speak of. I developed it way back when I was pregnant with Kristan, 22 years ago. It was no fun then, and I'm sure it was terrible now.

Heal your body, mend the aches and pains, sooth your soul. May peace and wellness be yours from now on.

So sorry that you are having so many medicals issues. It took the doctors three years to figure out that my gallbladder needed to come out.

Take care of yourself!
