SN (special needs) son has autism spectrum disorder. He was a micro preemie (1 lb 6 oz at birth) and by the time he was 3 years old has had more medical procedures than any adult I know. That said my kid is amazing! His private speech therapist takes him for walks. Today she told me he is looking at her less for facial cues and he is getting much better in stores with her.
Sometimes I lament the choices I made, like getting degrees in very esoteric fields that I can't get a job in (so here I am almost 40 and back in college) but I remind myself that if I did anything different I wouldn't have my 2 little cherubs. And they are so beautiful and I love them so much.
Bebe (18 month old) is getting his speech/language and play skills assessment on the 25th. I am hoping these are just minor delays and that's its due to having a big brother who has PDD-NOS. The speech therapist isn't worried, she says for 'normal' kids a little speech therapy goes a long way.
Well DH is up to phone screening/phone interview #3 which is just freaking tremendous. I am not frightened any more. While he still doesn't have a job yet... come on with 3 companies using valuable resources to interview a potential candidate ... its just a matter of time.
Remember the one we are hoping for, and hoping its what we think it will be, is the IT gig at this music company... *DH gets I.T. MUSIC GIG* vibes
I hope you all have a beautiful productive day... I know I need to make it a productive one!
