Update From The World Of Tee

Friday, October 15, 2010

OK. My last entry was in September before my trip to Atlanta. I had stated that I was going to write a weekly entry when I got back, but as you can see that hasn't happened. LOL. I've been busy with freelance writing opportunities, keeping up with my workouts, and getting caught up with everything else since being back.

So here's my update. Since being back from Atlanta, I've been doing really well with my workouts. I'm now up to 45 minutes on the elliptical again. I had to take about three or four weeks off in August due to an ankle injury. It was quite a significant injury, and I'm not sure if it was due to the length of time I was on the elliptical or to my new shoes. keepmovingtee.blogspot.c

I was up to 60 minutes on the elliptical, going about one and a half miles. I'm wearing my regular tennis shoes now, so we'll see what happens when I reach 60 minutes. I expect to get up to one hour in the next few weeks.

Right now, my goal is to do one mile a day, and see how fast I can do it in. Right now my fastest time for one mile is 33:20. I have noticed a lot of progress on my elliptical since I first got it about three years ago. My comfortable pace used to be 45 to 48 RPMs, and my speed to pace was 51 RPMs. Now my comfortable pace is about 51 to 52 RPMs, and my speed pace is from 57 to 59 RPMs. The other day I saw my RPMs go up to 60. I could not hold that pace for very long, but I did see it. I'm not going to try and beat my time every day, but if I feel I'm having a strong workout I will see how fast I can go.

My strength training is going well also. I'm currently using 10 pound weights and I'm doing my regular arm routine. keepmovingtee.blogspot.c

I'm still only doing one set of each, but I'm thinking about upping it to two sets.

My weight is still around 138 to 140. That seems to be a happy range for my body. I used to be nervous when I saw the scale creep up to 140, but that's OK, since that's still a healthy weight for my height.

So that's my update for now. I will do my best to update more regularly. For right now, I need to get busy with my workout. Hope you all are doing well, and thank you so much for all the comments on my spark people page and my blog. I appreciate everything you all do to keep me motivated and moving. Until next time, have a good day.
