I started eating healthy and exercising on Sept. 13th, at which time, I weighed 280 lbs. This morning I am pleased to announce that I weighed in at 260 lbs. A loss of 20 lbs.
I exercised right from the start though it was slow going initially. The first week I just walked for about 10 minutes...and not very fast. The next week I started doing exercise DVD's for 20 minutes 5 days a week and have kept that up faithfully.
I take weekends off from formal exercise though I do try to stay active. I never take any days off from eating healthy nor do I schedule "cheat" days. Twice a month I play Bunco so I allow myself to have a handful or two of the chocolates on each table and 1/2 of plate of whatever culinary delights the hostess has prepared. I eat healthy before and after I go.
What I am most proud of though, is the fact that I ate out at restaurants probably 15-20 times this past month without caving in to temptations.
FOOD FOR TUESDAY, OCT. 12:
1) Activia yogurt with blueberries and walnuts
2) Egg salad on 2 pcs. whole wheat bread
3) 1 serving low-sodium vegetable beef soup
4, 5 & 6) Bunco Night -- chicken pot pie, cheese, chips, and chocolates...no dessert
grapes, bagel chips
FOOD FOR WEDNESDAY, OCT. 13:
1) Activia yogurt and 1 cup of cheerios
2) 1 serving low-sodium vegetable beef soup & 1 c. cantalope
3) Chicken salad sandwich with raisins & walnuts on whole wheat toast
4 & 5) Date night
6) Apple & 1 tbs. peanut butter

This journey definitely got off to a great start!
