A Tribute to my friend Donna, MRSFIXIT, you were TOUGH!

Wednesday, October 13, 2010

A wonderful lady I met here on Spark People has lost her fight with breast cancer. Her name was Donna, screen name MRSFIXIT. She was a courageous warrior in the fight against this disease that can take over your whole body, it raged inside her, spreading to her liver. But despite the cruel spread of cancer, the light of hope never dimmed in her mind. Her spirit was happy, alive, hopeful she fought as tough as she could and never gave up. Her body became tired and as she left her husband and family physically, her spirit and joy will remain alive in them. She now is safely in the arms of Jesus, her love for Him showed even in her last days she read the Bible, it meant so much to her. When we see a RAINBOW, let us think of DONNA, shining her colors of light and love from heaven above emoticonWhen we see a BUTTERFLY, let us think of DONNA, flying freely with peace and joy emoticonWhen we have a chance to SMILE at someone, even if our day is rotten, let us think of DONNA, and the smiles she shared in her LIFETIME. emoticon emoticon emoticon I will never forget you DONNA, your courage touched my heart emoticonYou are an ANGEL to me. emoticonI pray for your family now, God be with them. emoticon You made a beautiful difference in our world emoticonI thank God for letting our paths cross in life, I will always remember you, dear Donna, our MRSFIXIT.

An amazing tribute for an amazing person. Donna touched many with her openness and honesty, but above all, her sense of humor and acceptance. I will miss her.

Inga, I am sorry for your loss of a great friend. While no one wishes for family and friends to struggle with the pain of cancer, it is hard not to wish them back here with us. Peace and love to Donna, her family and you. emoticon

    You're both special ladies!

You Inga - - for being the fun-making, enthusiastic pink warrior that we know, love and admire - - and Donna, God rest her sweet soul, for being an inspiration to all of us.

Thank you for sharing this most touching tribute. Tears fell from my eyes; tears of sorrow but mostly tears of joy that the world has special women like you & Donna!

Inga, thank you for posting this lovely tribute. She was my Spark Friend and we were on two teams together. What a strong and brave woman. She kept so busy, in spite of her illness. She thought of her family members and talked about them frequently. She enjoyed posting and was a very detailed lady. I would read her posts and be amazed at how busy she was. She stayed busy even after the recent breast cancer diagnosis. It seemed that she didn't slow down - until the end. What a wonderful example our human spirit. We must keep going and strive to live. I already miss you, Donna.
