One more goodbye

Tuesday, October 12, 2010

As a christian, I view death as a passage to heaven, IF you believe that God sent Jesus to die on the cross for you. My family is experiencing our fourth loss in four months. We are grieving the loss of loved ones. There is NO shortcut in grief. Just because we believe they are with Jesus, doesn't make us miss them less or grieve them less.
I just dont want to face one more goodbye in such a short time frame.

So sorry to hear of the losses.
I agree, I have to just lean on Jesus. I don't know others make it through without that tower of strength to support when you can't go on, those loving arms to comfort you when there's nothing else that can.

I can't say that I can understand. I can say that I remember feeling the same way for my brother and his wife when they lost their first baby at a few days old to SIDS in February and then lost their second baby due to a car accident starting her labor at 29 weeks in December of the same year. I didn't know how they could go through it, but knew that I also couldn't stop it from having happened. They now have a sweet little baby that is over 6 months old. Time goes on, and hopefully the pain goes away a little. Know that we are here to listen, as I think that is all any of us can truly do for you.

I am so sorry for your loss. I dread the day I lose my mom and dad... and other dad... I don't know how I'll get through it. I'll be praying for you, sweet friend. emoticon

We need to grieve and a lot of it is grieving for ourselves, too. I' m sorry - that is a lot of loss to deal with. But, bodies wear out, or we have health problems or things happen that we never thought of. We just found out that in the next few months we will lose our Mom. The tests show really bad diagnosis. I'll write a blog about it next week. We knew she could go with any number of things, we just did not think it would be like the way it is. emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

I'm SO sorry for your pain. And YES we should grieve, it's just we sorrow not as those who have no hope, but we certainly still sorrow. Jesus WEPT at Lazareth's grave and I believe it's because death was never part of the perfect plan. Had sin not entered into the world then we would never have tasted death. So I ask the LORD to comfort your grieving heart. emoticon

I understand and agree with you. It is never enough time that we have to spend with those we love. But there may be some comfort in knowing that, for them, it seems like just about the right amount of time.

You and your family are in my prayers that you feel comfort and love. emoticon

At the end of 2004 and beginning of 2005 we had three relatives die in three months so I can relate. Even now the grief still hits me from time to time. I hope you will keep happy memories in mind when sadness comes along. emoticon -- Lou
