Well, we did it. We made it though 13.1 miles for the inaugural Portland 1/2 marathon. We did the full marathon in 2008 and I thought I couldn't get any wetter but I was wrong. It poured on us at times but we still had a good time and there was a great atmosphere with bands and many spectators cheering us on. I'm glad we did it but I'm still kind of sore today but I know it will be better in the next couple of days. I also saw some very inspirational people doing the race including one woman who was completing her 43rd marathon. I hope I'm that active when I'm her age.
