Our Fabulous Little Soccer Player...today and past games revisited!!!

Monday, October 11, 2010

I lost my entire blog and hadn't saved it at all. UGH!!!!
This afternoon Ken and I went to McKenzie's soccer game. The weather was beautiful and the sun was warm...at times a little too warm.

McKenzie getting into the action...

McKenzie rooting for the team.

Waiting on the ball to go into play

Reacting to her team making a goal...doing the happy dance!!

Keeping the ball out of the goal...

Although McKenzie's team lost the game, they still practice good sportsmanship! I think this is a major part of the game especially as these kids are all friends.

McKenzie's grandparents leaving the field.

McKenzie and her parents leaving the field.

McKenzie catching sight of Ken and I.

These children have come a long way in learning the rules of soccer and good sportsmanship. Some scenes from the past:

September - October 2008

Learning good sportsmanship early on...

Learning to use that kicking leg...

The end of a wonderful year with many friendships being formed.

September 2009

2009...the end of another good year!!!

Thank you, Lord, for permitting these young children to come together and learn how to play soccer, get along together although they are on opposing teams and still be able to remain friends. What great lessons our children are learning and I know that You are walking with them and their coaches...making it all possible.
Hope your weekend was as great as mine and that you took time to do something positive just for you. Take time to enjoy something this week just because you can...
Blessings, love and hugs,
Helen

What a cutie that McKenzie is. You can sure see how's she growing up in the pics. Yes it is nice the kids all getting along sure beats the alturnitive. Soccer is growing to be a very popular sport. We have a few teams in my area but we are so small most of the competeing type of sports takes place out of town.
