I just got home from my niece's eleventh birthday party. I ate too much and I feel yucky. I suppose that is a good thing because hopefully I'll remember feeling yucky the next time I'm near a chip bowl or presented with chocolate cake and ice cream. I also ate a cheesy entree with friends last night at a Mexican restaurant. So it isn't just today that I ate too much. I'm sure last nights meal could have lasted 3 days if I was paying attention to portion size yesterday.
So, It's time to recommit to healthy eating!
I need to watch my portion size.
I need to add more fruits and veggies again.
I need to stay away from sugary treats. (If I really want something a square or two of good dark chocolate does the trick without sending my way over on calories)
And, I need to avoid getting too hungry so I can maintain control around tempting, but unhealthy foods.
I can do this. I know I can because I did it this summer. I just have to figure out how to do this with a really busy schedule, which I didn't have during the summer.
