Today WVU plays UNLV at home. I am going to tailgate, I'm probably going to eat and drink too much, but I am okay with it. I've noticed even when I'm "bad", I'm still better than I used to be.
I have to go to the post office this morning for the husby and then I'm going to hit the rail trail for a long bike ride. I'm hoping for 20ish miles, but I'll take what I can get. I want to be back to the hospital by noon, so we can go down and get some lunch at our buddy's tailgate.
I had a good run yesterday. I think my nutrition was still a little screwy. It usually takes my body about 24 hours to reset. Husby and I went to the base and swam. I was proud of him, he did a couple of laps! :) I asked if he wanted to go again and he said yes. That made me really happy. I wonder if he really wants to swim or just doesn't want his wife at an army base in a bathing suit alone! ;)
Game day means crazy traffic. I was going to ride down from the house to the hospital, but I was nervous about riding through town. After seeing the traffic at 0630 this morning, I'm glad I chose to throw the bike in the back of the truck and ride down with the Hub.
The scale isn't going anywhere, but my clothes fit well and I'm getting hard and toned. I'm not as self concious in my bathing suit anymore.
I received a really nice compliment yesterday while I was getting ready to run. There's a guy that is always walking while I'm running. He said (in a nutshell), "you're getting stronger, I can see it in your run. Do you feel stronger?" WOW, I've never been complimented on my running. I guess he's a soccer coach in the town I work in. How nice of him to say that. It made me smile and I think I pushed a little harder because of it.
