Today was actually my DH's b-day. i ran out at lunch, and got him a Mizzou shirt, which he said he really liked. I also got him a real birthday cake. Not one from the grocery store, but a real bakery. With star wars. He had to work tonight, so he gave me a love you babe, and ran to work. so, the cake is so close to me. i would love a slice of cake so very much. but, i have managed not to. this is such a temptation though.
I got my 3 miles in really late today. it was strange- it was like all the lights were out on the streets. i had that creepy feeling i was going to fall into another hole. so, the walk was slower and more cautious, but it was done. then i did some yoga to relax By the time i got home and ate- it was too late to get in my circuit training. Hopefully, i can get that in tomorrow. i am right now under my calorie range, so i am going to have a small midnight snack to get into my goal range. Drinking water is getting easier. So, I am hopefully on track to have some small weight loss (fingers crossed)
Finally the second Winter is Near Done challenge
Main Challenge: Come up with a holiday wish for yourself that you want to accomplish by the end of the year. Make a plan for how to make it happen.
My wish is two part (thanks to miechi). Part 1. is to be 15 lbs lighter. i would love to do more, but i think 15 lbs is a really nice starting point. I am going to accomplish this by :
-walking 3 miles a day (part of the streak)
-drinking 8 glasses of water a day (again, part of the streak)
-staying in my calorie range (streak yet again)
-and 2-4 strength training sessions a week
Part 2. I want to get to my happy place. With the new job, the sick puppy (though doing better), and some family stressors- I need that. I am going to get there by:
-taking care of myself. I have a massage gift certificate that I am going to use, and get a mani or a pedi once every 6 weeks or so just to get away from it all
-actually go to the salon and get my hair done by a professional to look good for work and play
-start working towards that 8 hours of sleep
-and, finally, if finances let me, either join a yoga studio out here to get to that happy zen center or a perhaps a martial arts class to beat the unhappy out.
BONUS: During this season, many of us rack up a lot of travel time! .Using only items you KNOW you will have available wherever you plan to travel, plan your travel workout, and do it TWICE this week for 10 points.
I am walking 3 miles a day- all i need are my shoes. and, as long as i have my iphone, i have upper body and lower body workouts available. So, I should be good.
Okay- 15 minutes to get to bed. Last night was a bust, the night before went really well. Hopefully, tonight will be a good rest too.
