I pledge....

to take better care of myself - I only have one body in this life.
to remember that life is a priviledge and not a right.
to put myself first right now.
to use my goal tracker sheet as motivation - if I keep on track, I get to buy some home decorating goodies as my reward :)
to run that darn 5K in December if my knee holds out.
to love me for myself.

How the heck am I going to do this?? Well, I've made up a sheet for myself that tracks my daily and weekly goals (ie drink my water, exercise, food goals, etc). For every goal I obtain, I check it off, and at the end of the week, the number of check marks is how much money I put aside that week for reward purchases for our new house, and believe me, there's some stuff I REALLY want for the house, so it's a motivator. No rewards money saved up, no home purchases. While I know the weight can come off, I'm also working hard on the strength training side, so I know the pounds may not come off as quickly as compared to no strength training. Staying positive - it's a monday and it's going to be a great week, I know it!!
