Down about 6 pounds so far since I switched over from mostly tracking what I was doing to being more active about losing weight. I haven't modified my diet much, really, but am trying to focus more on portion control and stopping eating when I am no longer hungry (rather than when I'm full). My appetite got out of hand when I was breastfeeding, and while I lost weight during breastfeeding, once my son weaned the pounds added up in a hurry. So, I'm trying to get my appetite back down to more reasonable levels.
I've started a strength training program on my lunch breaks at work, and started going to Zumba classes on Tuesday & Thursday. They did a major upgrade to the fitness center at the Y closest to my house, so that should help a lot for other cardio, but with family commitments my goals are to continue with the strength training and zumba classes and walks with my son, and any other trips to the gym that I can squeeze in are gravy. Fortunately my husband has been great with support in general and taking care of our son while I go to the gym. Now, if I can get him to go to the gym with me (and our son will consent to stay at the daycare there without screaming), that'll be even better.
