Zipped boots and a sexy halloween costume!

Friday, October 01, 2010

Oh happy day! I can zip up my boots!

A little background:

7 years ago - I bought these black (fake leather) boots. I don't think they ever zipped all the way to the top - I've got big calves (okay - not just the calves - the whole leg), always have, always will - that's what nearly 10 years of being a softball catcher will get you!

ANYWAY - I've worn these boots - without the zipper all the way up for years, no biggie because they were under jeans.

Last week, I was out looking at Halloween decorations - and wandered over to the costume section @ Walmart. I haven't dressed up for Halloween for YEARS - because I was so big - let's not bring attention to it by dressing it up!

I was always envious of women who wore those sexy little costumes - and I KNOW they come in plus size too... but I just wasn't confident enough to pull it off.

so I see this "dark angel" costume and LOVED it! It is so cute! Exactly my style and what I want to wear. (see the link)

So I started thinking to myself, you can't buy this! Your boots won't zip up - and that will not but cute.

So today- I went in the closet, they zipped right up - and tomorrow I'm going to go back to walmart - buy the costume, wig and a pair of fishnets!

I knew that my legs were still big - but with running - the muscles are taking a different shape - Next test - I have to try on my ski boots!

Running is awesome for the legs! I have always had fat calves, but since I've been running I've lost an inch in each leg. That has probably been the best physical change I've seen so far. Keep up the good work. And CONGRATS on your success so far!

Awesome. love the boots and costume.

After we recovered from our marathon we should go skiing again. I am sure your boots will fit now and it will be much easier to ski with them closed. We all sucked that time-what did we all last-2 hours?
