Beachbody Insanity - A Review

I just finished the nine weeks of Beachbody Insanity. I thought I would throw out some information for those thinking about giving it a try.

Insanity is a daily Cardio workout. The shortest workout is about 40 minutes and the longest is about an hour. The first four weeks you do one set of workouts. The fifth week is a recovery week, so you do the same lighter workout for each of those days. Then the last four weeks has another set of workouts.

Many of the exercises I am not able to do at all because of my size, and others I cannot do because of a wrist issue. But, I can do some 90% of the exercises. You are really put through the paces. It is a tough workout and sure does get the heart pumping. Even the recovery week helps you to work up a sweat.

I think Insanity is not for the beginner. If you are just starting to exercise and have been a couch potato up until now, this is not for you. Get started with something else and move to Insanity. For those who have been exercising and are used to a hard workout, this could be the workout you are looking for.

This is all cardio. There is no strength training in this workout. But, if you are looking for a two month Cardio program you might just want to give Insanity a try.
