Today is the day between my Dad's and my brother's birthdays. My Dad will be 81 tomorrow. My brother would have been 57.(he died in 2008) I'm glad 2008 is behind us. We had 6 family members die that year, 2in August including my brother. My Dad is something to celebrate. He's had 2 surgeries that could have killed him and he lived thru them. He was tired for a while, but he came back strong. He is very strong for a man turning 81. Ican't get my computer to go to another line when I want to start a new paragraph. So, I just try to separate them a little. Now that fall is here, John & I are enjoying walking & hiking in the woods as much as my knees and hips will take. I will be getting shots in my knees on Oct. 13. I will be seeing a different orthopeodic Dr. than I've seen before. I love the smell of the falling leaves and the smell of each season as it comes. that's one thing I like about Michigan. It has 4 distinct seasons. emoticon emoticon

So glad you still have your dad to enjoy spending time with. My dad is 84 and I treasure each moment that I have with him. What a tragic year you had back then-how sorrowful it must have been. So sorry to learn about all that.
Glad to hear that you are walking...isn't it great this wonderful time of year??? I love the fall too-it feels so wonderful-cool and crisp although we just had our first cooler day yesterday here in Georgia. I love the turning color of the leaves too. I hope your new doctor is a good one and that things go well for you with your shots.
Hugs,
Sarah
