I have finally lost the extra weight that has been (literally) hanging on since our tropical vacation in 2009 - as always in real life, there have been any number of issues that hindered total dedication to weight loss (duh!) such as work, health issues, etc. but I truly had gotten to the point that I felt I just wouldn't get back to maintenance weight - ever. And even more frightening, I had talked myself into accepting it. Motivation is so difficult to fathom - where it comes from, how long it stays, etc. I have been in maintenance mode since early 2005, I thought I had the drill down pat - guess not! Motivation this year came from two sources - health issues early in the year that totally threw off my exercise regime and my healthy eating for 3 months - too, too long when it comes to exercise. But I have been back at it now for about 2 months and doing really well, consistently. The other motivation is a friend's wedding coming up soon - shallow, I know, but I want to feel "right". I am happy to say that for the past two weeks, I have been at maintenance mode weight and I am motivated to stay there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
