They say the scale doesn't lie. Right? Well since my scale is maxed out a friend gave me a scale that not only talks (This could be a problem!) but had a capacity of 550lbs!
I stepped on the scale on Saturday and the scale said "Hello"! I stepped off and a few seconds later she said, "I'm ready." I stepped back on the scale and she announced, "441.6 pounds. I stepped on and off a few more times to make sure she was not lying to me. I was so excited I couldn't even do the math in my head. My friend said, "YOU LOST 18.3 pounds in one week!!!" Now I know every book states this is unhealthy but when you are starting out at 459.9 then you are going to have big loses in the beginning. YES, 18.3 pounds!!!
Sadly Saturday was a challenge and I was defeated. I have to rethink how to live in a world where there are nothing but carbs and starches lurking around every corner. I stepped on the scale this morning and I had a gain of 3.4 pounds over the weekend. My weight this morning is 445.0. I will still take the loss of 14.9lbs. I know exactly what I did wrong over the weekend and I know what I must do to make sure this mistake doesn't happen again. Planning! Planning! Planning! That's the key to my success!
