I took the secondary ambulance out to the Power Show site just in case. It is standard procedure every year. Then coffee time, wash some laundry and off to an auction sale.
We strolled through the many lines of tables filled with dishes, glassware and misc. In the backyard there was a set of patio furniture that looked interesting. So we stayed to see
how much it sold for since it was metal with wooden seats. I bought a few little items to
pass on to DS2 for his kitchen. There was a box of blue canning jars-about 20- that sold
for a dollar. Then they were selling some older cars and a motorcycle. DS2 thought the Honda 125 would be good to have. $200.00! One older Cadillac sold then came a 1969
Rambler Rebel. I bid thinking it would go way to high. Well, I ended up being the last bidder
so DS3 has a car to "look cool" in. It was a bargain-much cheaper than the Barracuda
he wanted to buy this summer for $12,000.
After a few more little items, you guessed it! The second last item to be sold was the
patio set. We hung on all day and it came home with us. I fully expected to pay $500 but
spent $240. It will replace the lightweight metal and plastic set that we bought
8 years ago. How it survived last year's tornado near-miss is anyone's guess. But two of
the chairs were beyond repair so it was time.
I stayed in range, did lots of walking and am ready to wrap up my day.
Hope you had a great Saturday! I know I did. Thanks for reading and commenting! HUGS!
