It has been a long while for me. To make a long story short...I lost about 20 pounds in 2008 (woo hoo!), then got pregnant with our second child (woo hoo!) in August of that year. I really enjoyed pregnancy, I had an excuse to eat whatever I wanted...ha! Problem is, I hung on to that excuse long after the baby was born. Of course I nursed her for a year, so I couldn't go back to 1500 calories a day, but I'm sure I was eating more like 3000. Then we decided to sell our house & buy a bigger one, and the stress of that was enough to keep me from being interested in eating well and exercising.
Now the baby is 16 months old, and we've been in our new house for 3.5 months, and I have no excuses left! Every now and then, I'll come back to SparkPeople and enter some of my food for the day, but I have not been consistent. I've been walking some, but not nearly as much as I was when I lost the weight before.
I just need to jump start again. I have "The Spark", and finally started reading it last night. I think that might have gotten me a little motivated. So today, I did some Wii fit, and have promised myself that I will eat 5 fruits/veggies and drink 8 glasses of water today. Even if I go over my calories. So far, I'm feeling good, but it's only day one, so we'll see...
Here's to hoping I can lose that 20 again! Preferably in time for Jeans season, or I'm going to have to go shopping for bigger clothes!
