I'm always looking for new ways to keep my 4 year daughter, Madilyn, entertained; she loves to learn new things and "parrot" others. As playing outside isn't always an option (Houston, TX weather is unpredictable!), finding indoor play items are a must.

I recently came across a video called Gymathics by; it's a workout dvd for children that also teaches math skills--and most don't even realize they're learning! Research shows that movement in combination with learning enhances retention and recognition. In a world where the rate of childhood obesity is on the rise at an alarming rate, this dvd will open your child's mind to making healthy lifestyle choices.

The dvd is 30 minutes long and Maddy enjoys it so much she ask me to restart it again and again...she reminds me of a little fitness instructor= ) She takes her exercise time very seriously and encourages the whole family to join her; perhaps it's time started taking lessons from my daughter!!!

Great! Wish one of my grandsons was old enough...he's just 16 mo. but I'm concerned. DD does 'your baby can read' with him...but that's not exercise!

Fantastic!! We needed more of that stuff when we were kids. Too much sit on your butt and watch TV or play board games or video games, never anything active when I was growing up. I hope this catches on with all the Mom's out there!!

Sounds great. Is the exercise something you can do with her. That would make exercising more palatable to me.
