When a win isn't really a win...

Monday, September 13, 2010

So the official puts his arms in the air signalling a touchdown and the Lions get their first road win in something like 3 years....
Wait.
Not so fast.
Suddenly in what seems like a bad practical joke the play is reviewed and with someone speaking in terms of a "process" the Lions lose their touchdown and with it the game. I won't type about bad calls the next two plays- where pass interference was happening... I won't be that fan that says the refs are out to get us... but I also won't be happy that an obvious catch was ruled an incomplete pass and left the Lions with another loss.
Next game- we need to work harder, we need it to not matter if someone catches the ball with 12 seconds left... we need to go out there and get a win.
Go Lions- you can do it!

Totally agree- rules need to be revised but the Lions need to just PLAY FOOTBALL and then it won't matter. If they would have kept their momentum instead of letting up when it was 14 to 3 this probably wouldn't have mattered.

That was pretty lame as he obviously caught the ball, but from what I've heard it was the proper interpretation of a really bad rule. To add injury to insult, it looks like Stafford will be done for awhile.
