I can't believe how long it's been since I wrote a blog entry on here. I've still been around, tracking the odd day of food and such. I've been pretty good at maintaining in the area I want to be, around 120. Most days I've been about 123 or 124. I was a little less healthy than I should be these last few weeks but I am trying to refresh my healthy habits.
My husband went away for the weekend to go cottaging with the guys, and I made the most of it. On Friday my mother came over to watch a movie and she brought a semi-healthy dinner with her for us. Home-made fried chicken, broccoli salad and corn on the cob. I got plenty of fruits and veggies, and purposely ate less of the fried chicken than she brought for me.
Saturday I headed into Toronto (I live about 45 minutes to an hour outside) to see a couple of girlfriends. We went shopping and went out for dinner, but went later than I expected. I was going to come home last night but wouldn't have gotten in until midnight so I ended up crashing at their place along with one other girl. Which just made the night more awesome; we got a bit of a slumber party and then went for brunch this morning.
Anyways, my point was that I was pretty proud of myself for not eating as bad as I could have this weekend. When shopping, we went to the foodcourt for a snack and when I could have had french fries, I decided on brown rice california rolls instead. At dinner at the Old Spaghetti Factory I only ate about half of my entry and, since I'm not really a pasta person, I mostly ate the chicken and veggies and left a lot of the pasta on the plate. I figured the bread before hand was enough carbs! At brunch this morning, I skipped the white toast, but love hashbrowns too much to skip them too. I did only eat half of my spinach and swiss omelette though. Restaurant omelettes are huge!
So I think I did pretty well this weekend at listening to my body and not stuffing myself silly. And I got in some much-needed girl time!
P.S. I am loving the autumn weather! Summer is just too hot.
