Ok, I'm welcoming myself back to SP and hitting the reset button because it is time to get back on track with healthier living! I went off course for basically the entire summer, but I'm ready to turn things around. Here's my story: lost 68 lbs over the course of 2.5 years, learned I'm a type I diabetic a year and 1/2 ago, added exercise to my routine back in March of this year, gained back 8 lbs over the course of the summer (but always kept up my fitness routine!).... Ok, you are up to speed. In the interest of full disclosure, let me get this off my chest... the 8 lbs was the result of ice cream, wine, and more carbs than I care to remember.
I'm not proud about my transgression, but I don't think it would be productive to beat myself up about it. Instead, I'm planning my "comeback." :) Today I wrote a meal-by-snack-by-meal painstaking meal plan, and pre-entered into SP to make sure I meet nutrition goals, and stay within a fat/carb/calorie budget. It's not as boring as it sounds - I chose delicious recipes of suberbly healthy food. I am looking forward to rejuventating my health, nutrition, and weightloss efforts starting first thing tomorrow morning.
My birthday is in mid-November, and my gift to myself will be getting back on track, and losing 10 pounds. I feel empowered, and really, really ready for a change. And so, here's to tomorrow!
