I know I haven't posted a blog in awhile. I was reading my last blog from August and thought WOW! what a difference a month makes. I am actually doing this! I have been a spark member since 4/4/2008! In that entire time I have done nothing but gain weight, until now! I don't know, did something finally click that didn't click before? Have I suddenly become possessed? HaHa! That's the choice my husband wants to go with. On Friday he actually said "wait a minute something is wrong, you got up early, worked out and your dancing around the bedroom AND you are going into work early, why are you not your usual not a morning person grumpy self?" I didn't have an answer. Believe me I still hate getting up at 540 am to workout before going into work. I still insist I am NOT a morning person but now I actually appreciate what it does for me. I am in a better mood. I'm a nicer person. I don't avoid people for 2 hours while I am still waking up. It's a work in progress, but guess what?
I AM ACTUALLY MAKING PROGRESS!!!!
It's slow and not much but it's still there and it's enough to keep me going. I've been working out consistently 4 days a week and now I know I need to add a 5th day. My eating was never really that bad, except for the weekends. Weekends still are not great but getting better. I actually ordered a side salad with my wrap instead of fries. That was hard for me because I had always considered that one of my "rewards" in the past. But now I am tracking my food which can be annoying but it keeps me accountable. I don't want to have to log that I ate french fries and see my calories for the weekend blow up and ruin all the work that I did all week.
This past week has been hard because work has been soooo busy. I work at a hospital and our staff has basically been cut in half due to various happenings. You can't really tell the doctor that the test he wants can wait until tomorrow because I need to go home now. So it's been some nice overtime. I am tired when I get home and its been hard logging on and spending time on the computer. Guess what-I have been doing it! Work will be getting better soon so I know I can make it and be consistent through busy times. No excuses!
Stuff to work on:
Increasing my workout days
Increasing my water intake on the weekends
Keep using the reports on SP to help me better understand what I am doing and what I need to do better.
Slow change my workout time from 5:40am to 5:30am
When I get home on time try to fit in some yoga! That one is for myself!

BEING CONSISTENT! I have learned this is the secret to my success!
Thanks to everyone who has been supporting me. I love getting emails on my blackberry during the day saying the I got a comment or sparkgoodie. I gives me something to look forward to when I get home.
