Cleaned my closet - very therapeutic

Sunday, September 12, 2010

I tried on clothes and made a pile of anything that doesn't fit right - and most of the items that didn't fit were too big - pants too baggy in the thighs and seat, shirts that hung, etc.

If the piece of clothing didn't fit OR didn't look good, in the bag it went. Out of the closet. Gone. Out of my life.

Because I've decided I need to give up looking "cute" and go for the sophisticated look - casually elegant, well-travelled, intellectual - the Audrey Hepburn (or Katherine Hepburn) look. I've outgrown cute. I'm ready for elegance and sophistication.

So world, get ready for a new me!!!!

You deserve to be vain--you've earned it. I've recently cleaned out my closet, too. I used to be scared of tight clothes, and now I'm wearing skinny jeans, short skirts, etc. Enjoy it, you deserve it!

LOL - I think that's probably what I really am, arty hippie - but I gave up wearing long floaty skirts when I figured out that they made me look heavier that shorter skirts, LOL. I think maybe I qualify as vain!

Sometimes you really crack me up. So funny thinking of you as sophisticated. You are miss free spirited arty hippy in my mind.
