Snoopy passed away at 1 this morning. she was 16. she will be missed as much as the other ones. I have lost 3 cats this year and I don't know how long my cocker spaniel will be with us. he is doing ok. they say he is in no pain. I feel bad for him as the stroke has left his head tilted all the time. hope everyone has a wonderful sunday.

Awww - sorry to hear about your kitty. Be gentle with yourself as you mourn your friend's passing. Give extra pats to your other animal companions b/c they will be grieving too. Sending prayers and healing energy.

We all love our pets and it is too bad they don't live longer lives. That's the trouble with having pets around the same age, they all seem to go at once. You can get another kitten or puppy to love--there are plenty who need homes.

Take care.

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. It is so hard to lose our fur kids. This poem makes me cry but has helped me through the loss of my dear dogs, cats, or birds.

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

I'm so sorry about this. I have a lab shepherd mix who I adore. She's at least 10 yrs old and slowing down. I so fear the day she leaves us. I know I'll be devastated but at the same time thankful for the years she had with us. In the meantime, I enjoy each day!

Bright Blessings upon you!

I know how you feel. We had to put down our cat because he had mouth cancer. Poor thing. He will be missed. Take care!
